Field Notes

Diagonally across the intersection of Derby Avenue and Grassy Hill Road from Field View Farm, this pair of houses with bank barn, also belong to members of the Hine family. The current residents keep sheep and chickens in the lower level of the bank barn. In the past they’ve had dairy cows and sometimes heifers from the Field View herd. Parts of the structure have been replaced with concrete block masonry (one of the previous owners ran a construction company). A photo from the 1920s shows the barn and the pasteurizing room in front of it. Synthetic shingle siding.
