Historic Barns of Connecticut survey
Eight tomes,
over 7,000 pages combined, are the result of a two year
project by the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation, documenting
Connecticut's barns. Now housed at the State Historic Preservation
Office in Hartford, as well as online at http://www.connecticutbarns.org/,
over 2,000 barns were researched and 8,000 barns surveyed. The research
is the basis for a current State Register of Historic Places nomination
project on barns, funded by the State Historic Preservation Office.
